Jenna Fischer has become best recognized for her role as Pam Beesly, the character she played on The Office. For this character, she was awarded two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, however, she grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna was a spectator as her mother Anne took part in plays at church. She was awed by performance and theatre was cultivated when she was a little girl.
An actress trained in theater, Fischer returned to her roots after wrapping The Office. The role she played was Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway production Reasons to be Happy. She then starred in Steve Martin's newest show Meteor Shower. It was an absurdist comedic piece opposite Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for an unprecedented time at the Old Globe Theatre.
The Office actress Angela Kinsey, Fischer's real-life friend as well as a castmate, started Office Ladies in October 2019 on Earwolf. The podcast became wildly successful, ranking in the Top Ten of the world each week. It had more than 200 million downloads in its initial two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's published two books, The Actor's Life A Survival Guide in which she describes her journey to Hollywood acting as a professional as well as Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends that Were There which is a story of the greatest friendship they had and their time in The Office.
