Katherine Heigl reveals her childhood in a bubble of white and how that influenced how she raised adopted multiracial children. In an interview, she said recently that, in terms of skin colour the issue isn't that important. But after speaking to her adopted sister by South Korea she realized just the way society views people of different races. "I wanted to know Meg what she thought about being treated differently when she went out with our parents and the times she was out on her own. Meg replied "Oh Yes, all the moment!" Heigl admitted to parents, "That made me realise that I had been so ignorant." The actress said that she was frustrated, but decided to channel that energy to aid adopt her daughters. Heigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4. together for thirteen years. The couple's daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009; Adalaide is an Black 8-year-old girl who adopted in the year 2012.
