Laura Linney's portrayal of vulnerable, yet strong characters has earned her the title of one of today's greatest American actors. While spending her summers in the home of her father and gaining an interest in theater. After studying in Brown University for a while, then later at Juilliard School to study acting. In just two short years after graduation she began her Broadway-based career. The following year she made her debut in film and television. She has been featured on a number of stages, films and television programs since. Through her entire professional career, she's received numerous awards. These include two Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. However, in spite of all the awards she has received the theatre is still her passion first and foremost. She is still appearing on screen and on stage.
