Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale is an American pro basketball player with the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. She played in the NCAA basketball tournament for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Wings drafted her with the fifth pick of this year's WNBA. Arike Ogunbowale's parents Yolanda Ogunbowale & Gregory Ogunbowale were born March 2 1997 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mario Ogunbowale is her 26 year old brother, and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years of age. As the youngest of her siblings, her parents treated her to the very best treatment. Gregory's father served in the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale is from a family with ties to the sports world. She finished her high school record with 73 career starts and lists her career's totals as 1,477 points and 739 rebound. Ogunbowale participated at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship and won Gold medals there. The 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team was announced on the 7th July 2014. Ogunbowale she is currently playing her first season at a collegiate level, was named the ACC All-Freshman Team.
