Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports as young as fourteen years old. Aspen Ladd trained in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing, and wrestling prior to her debut as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd later went on to win three fights consecutively at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated were defeated within the first five minutes. Then she returned to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian prior to going to fight Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen, and beat her by unanimous vote. Cynthia's record as an amateur was marred. Ladd bounced back from her defeat and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-one. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta 11 saw her dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta Combat Championships 16, She won her next bout in the fight against Amanda Cooper through a second-round Armbar submission. Aspen used the superior abilities she acquired in wrestling to defeat McGill. She won the fight with a an KO (3rd round) (elbows as well as punches). Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, weighing the catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd had missed weight. Despite this, Aspen was able to take on Hoy. She won with a TKO after the second round. In her last fight for this promotion, Ladd beat Sijara Eubanks by unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She dominated Lina through her ground and pound tactics which resulted in a TKO 2nd round win. Then, in her third fight she overcame Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd beat Evinger to the punch in the first round she was awarded a Performance of the Night bonus. Her first fight of note came with her next bout at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Ladd was the winner of the night's main event fight bonus, after both fighters had hard in a tense back and forth battle. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her streak of winning. She came back to finish Yana Kunitskaya after the third round in UFC in ESPN 7. For a replacement last minute to her UFC bout, she fought Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. She was defeated by a unanimous decision.
